Now in its 37th year, the Coeur d’Alene District Mining Contest showcases the skill and strength behind traditional hard rock mining. Events include Jackleg Drilling, Hand Mucking, Spike Driving, and 12-B Mucking—plus team and kids competitions. Women’s events and a kids' division make it a fun, family-friendly celebration of mining heritage.

Competitors who participate in all solo men’s events are eligible for the “All-Around Miner” title—awarded to the top performer across the board.
